These yarn bowls are made of high-fire stoneware clay and formed on the pottery wheel. They are fired in an enormous gas powered pottery kiln that we have lovingly nicknamed Smaug. Firing the pottery means turning clay into ceramic in a process known as vitrification, and this days-long process produces pottery that is durable, functional, and in our opinion beautiful!
